Cha cha cha changes.

Sometimes I think the problem of modern life is too many choices, and too much would the other choice be better?
Well seems I am *really* good at my work (this is from feedback from multiple areas, not just my ego talking), and the kids are happy/learning/excited to come here. However, this is not profession in which you get rich, or even get security, not to mention money for retirement. But how many other jobs count hugs as a fringe benefit? I've been pondering this for some time now, and it seems they may be a 3rd option. In CA there's a measure on the ballot for universal preschool funding (which I do agree with), in it is also a provision that allows home daycares to participate in the program (we've been teaching preschool for years, usually for free/next to nothing) so long as they complete a BA in early childhood education (same degree a preschool teacher needs to hold). I was only a few units short of that degree when I took a break from college to have the baby, so I'm thinking I should finish up. After all it's really hard to vote against money for schools, and no politition in his right mind would speak against money for this. I'm really excited as this also means better quality care for many children both in home preschools and in larger ones.
